Muggles, start your broomsticks: “Harry Potter: A History of Magic” is coming to the U.S.
After a stint at the British Library, the wildly popular exhibit is making its way to the New York Historical Society this fall. From October 5, 2018, to January 27, 2019, Potter-heads can enjoy early drafts and sketches by author J.K. Rowling, examples of the history folklore that helped her create the Potter universe and even new books.
The exhibit marks yet another exciting way to celebrate the book series’ 20th anniversary; Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opens on Broadway April 22, and the HP spinoff, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, hits theaters on November 16.
Tickets will go on sale for New York Historical Society members starting February 14 and will become available to the general public starting in April. Our inner Hermione is beside herself with excitement.
