Hannah Brown Is Apparently ABC’s ‘Top Choice’ for ‘The Bachelorette’…But There’s a Problem

If you have mixed feelings about Hannah Brown being the Bachelorette (again), then we highly recommend you sit down for this news.

Famed TV blogger Reality Steve just announced that the 25-year-old beauty queen is the “top choice” to lead season 16 of The Bachelorette…but there’s a small catch. He says Brown isn’t happy with the compensation ABC offered her, so she’s refusing to make a deal unless they can up the ante.

“They couldn’t agree on money apparently and she’s out unless something drastic happens,” Reality Steve wrote.

While the blogger didn’t reveal any further information, he did confirm that a decision will be made within the next few days. Perhaps just in time for The Bachelor: The Women Tell All?

“That’s the latest I have on Bachelorette,” Reality Steve wrote. “A decision should be made within the next week or so on who they end up choosing.” (ABC hasn’t confirmed the report, so take it with a grain of salt—especially since he’s been wrong in the past.)

We’re not surprised that the network is willing to give Brown a second chance. Not only is she currently single (thanks a lot, Jed Wyatt), but she also tried to re-pursue current Bachelor Peter Weber only to get shut down on national television.

Still, we’re torn on whether Brown should lead another season of The Bachelorette. While we’d love to see her find “the one,” there are tons of other worthy contenders—like Kelsey, Kelley and Kendall Long—who would probably agree to do it pro bono.

Your move, ABC.
