Love milkshakes but hate all the calories that come with them? Cue Halo Top Creamery.
The ice cream company is launching an all-new treat: Halo Top goodness in a milkshake form. Select Subway locations will be offering the frozen desserts beginning July 22 until September 4.
The hand-spun milkshakes will come in three classic flavors—chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. Unlike typical milkshakes, which often exceed 600-plus calories, each drink will contain around 280 to 350 calories, along with 20 grams of protein.
When compared to other fast food desserts, the results are astounding. Take Shake Shack, for example: Not only does a classic chocolate milkshake contain 750 calories, but it also has 45 grams of fat. (Not that we’re gonna stop having Shake Shack anytime soon.)
Unfortunately, there’s a small catch. While the milkshakes will be sold at around 1,000 Subway locations, they'll only be available in six test markets for the time being: Colorado Springs, Colorado; Hartford, Connecticut; Longview and Tyler, Texas; Salt Lake City, Utah; Toledo, Ohio; and West Palm Beach, Florida.
If you need us, we’ll be mapping out every Subway location in these test areas. (You know, for research.)
