Gwyneth Paltrow got creative when it came time to celebrate her son Moses’s 14th birthday yesterday.
The 47-year-old Oscar winner and Goop founder penned a candid note to the birthday boy on Instagram and shared a series of photographs of him. But that wasn’t the only way Paltrow helped her son, who she shares with ex Chris Martin, ring in his special day.
“This kid is the best and he is 14 today. Unbelievable,” the Politician star began her caption. “He is the kindest little man and he has the most unique way of looking at the world and expressing himself. Mosey, I could not be more proud of you in every way. You conquer all you set out to do, you never quit, you are immensely talented and a great friend. I hope you never stop hugging me goodbye when you go into the next room. I love you.”
After taking a moment to gush about her son, it seems she also organized a socially-distanced birthday parade for him in the driveway. On her Instagram Story, Paltrow shared a video of herself and Moses standing on the porch of their home while two SUVs festooned with birthday messages pulled up.
Moses’s friends poked their heads out of the cars and held signs that wished him a happy birthday. They danced to music and even dropped some candy off for the young teen. Moses wore a birthday hat and looked overjoyed by the surprise.
As more and more people are having to celebrate their birthdays under new circumstances, this seems like a fantastic idea.
