Game of Thrones is typically categorized as a drama, but is there truly anything more moving than Tormund’s (Kristofer Hivju) epic schoolboy crush and passion for Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie)? We think not.
But wait for it...Tormund's ogling happens off-screen, too! Last night, Christie visited Late Night with Seth Meyers and dished on Brienne's will-they-or-won’t-they (please-God-say-yes) dance and the wonderful stares that come with it. The GoT star jokingly called her co-star's leers, “Absolutely terrifying!” and shared that Hivju stays in character even after the cameras stop rolling. “He will start chewing a sandwich wildly at me, masticating wildly at me, really kind of making love to that sandwich as he eyeballs me,” Christie laughed.
She continued, “I’m a classically trained actress...However, this is possibly the one time I dissolve [into laughter] without fail...I was not expecting the power, the magnitude of intense sexual intention to pour out of a man's eyes and cover me.”
In the words of Tormund, “I want to make babies with her…Great big monsters. They’d conquer the world.”
