Wait, We Had No Idea This Young ‘Ginny & Georgia’ Actor Was in a Movie with Lupita Nyong’o

It has only been a couple weeks since the second season premiere of Ginny & Georgia, but we haven't been able to stop thinking about those new episodes (and clearly other viewers haven't either, since the show remains near the top of Netflix's list of most-watched shows). Since season 2 dropped, we've been doing some digging into the cast, and it turns out that one of the youngest stars of the show has worked with none other than Lupita Nyong'o.

11-year-old Diesel La Torraca—who plays Ginny's younger brother, Austin—apparently worked with the Academy Award-winning actress when they starred together in the 2019 black comedy film Little Monsters.

In Little Monsters (which, unfortunately, is not a reference to Lady Gaga fans), Nyong'o plays Miss Audrey Caroline, a Kindergarten schoolteacher who tries to protect her group of students when their school suddenly becomes the target of a zombie attack. Meanwhile, La Torraca plays Felix, one of Miss Caroline's students and the nephew of a man who ends up falling in love with Nyong'o's character.

For those who are interested in watching the film, it can be streamed for free on Hulu right now. In addition to Nyong'o and La Torraca, the horror comedy also stars Alexander England (Wild Boys), Josh Gad (Frozen) and Kat Stewart (Offspring).

It's quite impressive the number of stars that La Torraca has gotten to work at such a young age on Ginny & Georgia, Little Monsters and more. Along with these projects, the tween has also featured in episodes of shows like Lambs of God, The Secrets She Keeps and La Brea.

According to his IMDB page, the 11-year-old has had an interest in acting since he was only 5 years old, because his mother is an actress as well.

Diesel, if we had a 12 under 12 list, you would definitely be making the cut.
