Gina Rodriguez went through pregnancy and motherhood on the hit show Jane the Virgin (or at least, her titular character did). But now, the 38-year-old star is experiencing the real thing after welcoming her first child with husband Joe LoCicero, 36.
Rodriguez recently gave birth to a baby boy, according to TODAY. The actress hasn't confirmed any other details—including the child's name and birthday.
Rodriguez first announced her pregnancy on her 38th birthday (July 30, 2022). The Miss Bala actress posted a video to her Instagram account with a caption that read: “This birthday hits different [heart emoji].”
In the video, Rodriguez stitched together various clips of her and her hubby, and at the very end, the star was seen holding up a positive pregnancy test and smiling with tears in her eyes.
Rodriguez and LoCicero tied the knot back in 2019. The Not Dead Yet actress met the actor and model on the set of Jane the Virgin, and they got engaged in 2018. The following year, they had a gorgeous outdoor wedding, where Rodriguez wore not one, but two stunning wedding dresses.
Since then, Rodriguez has continued to document their relationship on Instagram. In May 2022, the Chicago native posted a slideshow to her account and wrote, “3 years of marriage to my best friend. You are home.”
