It’s been (what feels like) 84 years, and now we can finally say that Gigi Hadid is 100 percent pregnant with Zayn Malik’s baby.
The 25-year-old model appeared on a recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and confirmed that she’s pregnant with her first child. Hadid also revealed that she and Malik weren’t planning on telling the public (at least not yet).
“Obviously, we wished we could have announced it on our own terms,” she said.
Hadid is referring to TMZ, who leaked the news before they made an official announcement. (The outlet reported she’s 20 weeks along with a baby girl.)
Despite the drama, Hadid admitted that she can’t wait for this next chapter of her life. When Fallon called it “the best news,” she responded, “Especially during this time, it’s a nice silver lining to be able to be home and together and really experience it day by day.”
Hadid is currently self-isolating with Malik at her family’s home in Pennsylvania. The couple recently celebrated the model’s 25th birthday with a quarantine party, which many fans thought doubled as a gender reveal. Hadid didn’t confirm the theory, but she did share her number-one pregnancy craving, which explains the bagel-themed birthday cake she posted on Instagram.
“I eat an everything bagel a day,” she joked. “I don’t know if it was my hormones right now or like quarantine emotional-ness. I cried every five minutes for like an hour.”
