After keeping fans guessing for months, Gigi Hadid finally announced the name of her and Zayn Malik's daughter.
Rather than going the typical route by doing a publicized announcement, the 25-year-old model opted for a more subtle reveal by quietly changing her Instagram bio to read, "Khai's mom." Naturally, fans quickly noticed the change, which created major buzz on social media.
One fan tweeted, "The name is KHAI. Cutest name ever. I am in love." Honestly, same.
There's no word on the significance behind the name, but the profile update comes shortly after Hadid treated fans to a few glimpses of her life as a new mom on her Instagram Stories. The model shared a screenshot of her text conversation with Malik, where she told him, "Hey...I'm obsessed with our kid." She also took the opportunity to encourage fellow mothers and said, "To new moms: If you washed your face today, I'm proud of you."
Hadid and Malik welcomed their first child in September. After the birth, Malik shared a snap of the newborn's hand on Twitter and wrote, "Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful. To try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x."
Hadid also followed suit by sharing the same photo and added, "Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love."
