George & Amal Clooney Make Rare Red Carpet Appearance (& Amal's Sheer Jumpsuit Steals the Show)

George and Amal Clooney are reentering the public scene. (And you won’t hear us complaining.)

This week, the couple made a rare red carpet appearance when they attended an event for HISTORYTalks 2022 in Washington, D.C. The Ticket to Paradise star looked dapper in a silver suit, but Amal stole the show in a red semi-sheer jumpsuit.

Amal wore an elegant high-neck jumpsuit that matched her bold red lipstick and accessorized the look with shiny heels and diamond earrings. She styled her hair in luscious waves that fell below her shoulders.

At the event, George spoke with Entertainment Tonight about their years-long relationship. “There’s just not a downside to her,” he told the outlet. “Eight years! And they said it wouldn’t last.”

The actor continued, “Everything about my wife is sort of magical, as I think everybody has come to realize as they see her and hear her and hear what she stands for.”

George also shared insight about his parenting style with his 5-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander. “In my family, the rules were always ‘Challenge people with power, defend people with less power,’” he said. “And if you can do that, you’ve had a good life.”

The public appearance came a few days before the couple celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary. If you recall, George and Amal had a lavish Italian wedding back in 2014 in Venice, and it reportedly cost around $4 million. (NBD.)

Never change, you two.
