Gayle King may not be up for a Golden Globe tonight, but by the looks of her stunning ensemble, she's already got our vote for best dressed.

The 69-year-old TV personality and journalist appeared on the red carpet looking like royalty in a silky, purple one-shoulder gown from Solace London—likely a tribute to the 2023 film, The Color Purple. And on Instagram, CBS Mornings shared footage of her arrival and wrote, "Gayle King is live on the #GoldenGlobes red carpet—as @cbstv prepares to air the award show for the first time in nearly 50 years. Tune in on CBS and @paramountplus tonight at 8 p.m. ET."

In the video, King says, "We are very proud to say this is the first time that CBS has hosted the show in a very long time...We're very proud of that. We pulled out all the stops. Why? Because we want everybody to have a great night tonight. We want to celebrate them. By 'them', I mean, the movie stars and TV stars. We want to celebrate the work that they do. And we're here just to cheer everybody on."

Well, if you ask us, King's show-stopping dress—which she paired with metallic silver heels and hoop earrings—is also worthy of a standing ovation. One Instagram follower said, "You look beautiful, love the dress choice." Another added, "You picked the best dress!!"

The CBS Mornings host also shared a few snaps and behind-the-scenes footage of herself interviewing celebrities on the red carpet, including the host, Jo Koy, Dua Lipa, Hannah Waddingham, Angela Bassett and Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson.

In the video, King tells Brunson, "I can't wait to see what you're going to do next time. I know you have some tricks up your sleeve that you're not going to share. Has it made you more creative?"

Brunson responded, "It did, dealing with the time off the air made me more creative. It made me more grounded."

We'll continue to keep an eye out for all of King's epic red-carpet interviews as she slays in purple.
