The ‘Game of Thrones’ Episode 4 Trailer Contains a Major Cersei Spoiler

Only three episodes remain for our heroes of Game of Thrones season eight, and it seems like the real war for Westeros is still to come.

Now that we’ve finally had a chance to recover from the scariest (and darkest—literally) episode of all time, and the Battle of Winterfell is finally over, we have what seems to be an even bigger problem on our hands, at least according to the trailer for episode four.

In the trailer, we see the post-war destruction of Winterfell, as well as the burning corpses of the dead. We also see Cersei (in a new red-velvet get-up, no less!) watching from the Red Keep as her Golden Company arrives at the castle and Euron looks smugly over her shoulder. Then we get a few scenes back at Winterfell: people repairing the Stark fortress, Daenerys giving a speech about winning “the last war,” a very “Red Wedding”-like moment where Dany holds up a wine glass to cheers to their success in defeating the Army of the Dead, and Arya and Gendry making out between shots of dragons (we repeat: Both! Dragons!) flying overhead.

But then we see a quick shot of Euron and Cersei again, and SPOILER ALERT: He’s down on one knee, looking like he’s proposing to the Mad Queen. So what does this all mean? (Check out the quick clip in the trailer above at minute mark 0:21.)

For one, we know Cersei is probably pregnant with Jaimes child, but has already slept with Euron and is possibly going to pretend the baby is his so that the child has a legitimate claim to the throne (as part Ironborn of House Greyjoy and part “Hear Me Roar” Lannister).

So will their marriage make things official, and give Cersei even more power over the Greyjoy fleet so she can wipe out what’s left of the Dany/Jon forces?

Tune in to HBO on Sunday, May 5, at 9 p.m. to find out…
