In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, GCDS creative director Giuliano Calza said the collection was inspired by a dystopian future in which computers no longer exist and we’re all forced to relearn how to do things the analog way. At the very least, Calza’s puzzling runway stunt has certainly gained a lot of attention, meaning the brand’s clothing has been getting noticed, too. So was it just a publicity stunt or a statement about our dependency on technology (again, huh?) or the beginning of a riddle about two models walking three abreast? The world may never know.
