At the ripe age of 16 months, Eva Longoria’s son, Santiago, is already mastering the art of sign language.
Last night, the Desperate Housewives alum, 44, documented the “nightly ritual” she does with her 1-year-old child. Longoria shared a video on her personal Instagram account, featuring little Santiago mimicking his mom, who is signing to music.
The clip shows pajama-clad Longoria sitting on the floor of her shower—no water running—with Santiago. (Every mom can relate to this scene.) The pair are listening to music as the actress demonstrates the moves, while the baby tries to follow along.
She captioned the video, “He loves singing in the shower! He’s trying to learn the signs of the song.”
Celebrities immediately flooded the comments section of the post, which has been viewed 1.5 million (and counting) times.
Serena Williams kept it short and sweet, writing, “He is so handsome.” Debra Messing, on the other hand, shared a lengthy message, recalling when her son, Roman (15), was the same age learning sign language.
“Omg. I’m having flashbacks to that glorious time,” the Will & Grace star wrote. “My boy learned ‘more,’ ‘milk,’ ‘water’ and ‘change (diaper)’ and it was I. Redo Le to see his frustration go away once he was able to communicate. It’s all miraculous. Thank you for sharing sweet Eva.”
Longoria and her husband, José Bastón, welcomed their first child back in June 2018. Little Santiago has been making regular appearances on the actress’s Instagram page, and we hope it stays that way.
