Shameless actress Emmy Rossum and Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail married at the gorgeous Central Synagogue in New York City on Sunday, May 28...and drool.
Rossum wore a stunning off-the-shoulder, custom-made Carolina Herrera gown with detailed embroidery inspired by the Guggenheim Museum, the site of the newlyweds' reception.
The star-studded guest list numbered about 100, boasting the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Hilary Swank, Shameless co-stars William H. Macy and Shanola Hampton and Mr. Robot stars Rami Malek, Christian Slater and Carly Chaikin. The bride and groom, as well as their guests, celebrated their vows with dancing and lots of photo booth fun.
Rossum and Esmail met and fell in love while working on Comet, a film he wrote and directed in 2013. Throughout their courtship, Rossum regaled Esmail with dramatized readings of The New York Times’s "Modern Love" section. You guessed it...one week as Rossum read, she realized the “Modern Love” story was actually of her and Esmail. He recreated the newspaper, ads and all. Swoon.
