It's giving Mia Farrow

From spectacular red carpet fashion to Denzel Washington’s history-making nomination, the 2025 Golden Globes didn’t disappoint. While the ceremony was filled with memorable moments (looking at you, Demi Moore), I can’t stop thinking about Emma Stone’s major hair change.

Last night, the 36-year-old actress attended the 82nd annual ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and debuted a brand-new hairstyle that made me do a double take. Stone’s hair was styled in a flirty pixie cut that featured microbangs along her hairline.

The hairdo was inspired by Mia Farrow circa Rosemary’s Baby, according to Stone’s longtime hairstylist Tracey Cunningham. “She basically has no hair. It’s super short, and she’s going to have it cut again, so it’ll be even shorter,” Cunningham told Page Six.

You should know there’s a valid reason for Stone’s drastic hair change. The actress reportedly cut her hair for her upcoming role in Bugonia, where she plays a CEO who’s kidnapped by two conspiracy theorists who believe she’s an alien.

While this is the first time that Stone has debuted the cut in public, rumors about a potential hair change have been circulating for quite some time. It all started in October 2024 when the actress was seen in New York City wearing a beanie with no hair hanging out the back. That same month, Stone attended the New York Film Festival in what appeared to be a wig.

For her latest appearance at the 2025 Golden Globes, Stone wore a stunning satin red gown by Louis Vuitton, which included a matching belt. Stone walked the red carpet alongside her husband, Dave McCary, who wore a classic black suit with a bowtie.

One thing’s for sure: Stone can totally pull off a pixie cut.
