These brand-new photos of Emma Corrin as Princess Diana will make you do a double-take.
On Tuesday, Netflix released a series of new photos from the upcoming season of The Crown. And not only did we get our first glimpse of Gillian Anderson’s Margaret Thatcher, but we got an up-close look at Corrin’s Princess Di. And boy are they nearly identical.
One snap features Corin wearing a gorgeous purple gown on the red carpet alongside Josh O’Connor (Prince Charles), while another shows the actress in a yellow suit surrounded by paparazzi.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen pics from the set of the new season. Last fall, Entertainment Tonight obtained an exclusive photo from the set of The Crown. Similar to the previously leaked pics of Corrin and O’Connor, this batch featured the actors recreating the couple’s 1983 royal tour of Australia.
In this particular scene, the on-screen couple is reenacting a memorable moment, where Princess Diana and Prince Charles greeted a crowd of onlookers when they arrived at an event.
Corrin is wearing a retro hot pink dress and matching fascinator, which bears a striking resemblance to the real-life outfit Princess Diana wore in April 1983.
The couple’s royal tour of Australia took place just two years after Princess Diana tied the knot with Prince Charles. They even had their 9-month-old son, Prince William, in tow.
Last month, Netflix also released a teaser trailer featuring Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) riding through the gates of Buckingham Palace, followed by a montage that concludes with Princess Diana’s wedding.
Nailed it. Season four of The Crown will hit Netflix on November 15.
