‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Author E.L. James Has a New Book Coming & It Sounds Just as Juicy

Take control of your inner goddesses, ladies, because E. L. James is releasing another book (And yes, it sounds just as raunchy as Fifty Shades of Grey.)

The 55-year-old author just revealed that her newest book, titled The Mister, will hit bookshelves on April 16. James announced the exciting news during an appearance on the Today show, saying, “Hopefully it is just another inspiring love story with two completely new characters doing their thing.”

Sure, we’d never say no to more reading options, but there’s always the fear that the new book won’t live up to our expectations. However, if the description (see below) for the male lead, Maxim Trevelyan, is any indication, then it appears we have another Christian Grey on our hands.

“He’s stretched across the length of the bed, tangled in his duvet butt naked…very naked. His face is turned toward her but covered by unkempt brown hair,” it reads. Oh, and did we mention he’s British?

The “her” he’s talking about is Alessia Demachi, who James describes as a “21st century Cinderella.”

James rose to stardom after releasing her debut erotic novel, Fifty Shades of Grey. She went on to write two more books—Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed. Due to the success of the first novel, Universal Pictures adapted the series for the big screen in 2015. The Fifty Shades of Grey movie starred Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) and Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey).
