Love ’em or hate ’em, they’re Easter basket staples, and now you can indulge in the pastel-colored marshmallows for breakfast, thanks to the new Dunkin’ Peeps doughnuts hitting stores April 1.
The Easter-themed treat features white icing and some festive green and egg-shaped sprinkles, topped with a mini yellow Peeps chick. Yeah, it’s pretty extra. For super fans of the iconic candy, the doughnut chain is also offering Peeps-infused coffees—available hot or iced. Both Peeps items will be available at participating locations for a limited time only and while supplies last (remember that Easter falls on April 21 this year, so plan accordingly).
To celebrate the new lineup, Dunkin’ will be hitting the road from April 2 to 4 in a “custom-sculpted coffee car” and a “Peepsmobile” (yes, really) to surprise fans with free coffee and doughnuts. They’ll hit a total of six Dunkin’ locations on their way from Peeps’s hometown of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, to Dunkin’s birthplace of Quincy, Massachusetts. At each spot, the first 250 customers will be given a free Peeps-flavored iced coffee, a Peeps doughnut and some other so far unspecified goodies.
While we’re pretty sure that the unique cars won’t be hard to miss, you’ll have to follow the coffee chain on Instagram to find out exactly where they’re heading.
