Can you believe it’s already been 25 years since the release of the 1998 romantic drama Ever After: A Cinderella Story? Yeah, we can’t wrap our head around it either.

Based on the classic fairytale, this modern retelling centers around a young woman named Danielle (played by Drew Barrymore), who meets and falls in love with the charming Prince Henry (Dougray Scott). In honor of the film’s anniversary, the 48-year-old actress had a chance to reunite with two of her Ever After co-stars on a recent episode of her daytime talk show.

In a BTS video shared by The Drew Barrymore Show’s Instagram page, the Charlie Angels alum channels her character Danielle, rocking a beautifully crafted remake of her gold dress. Her hair is braided into a crown style (just like in the movie) and sitting on the top of her head is a bejeweled hairpiece.

Right by her side, two of her Ever After castmates, Melanie Lynskey (45) and Megan Dodds (53), are smiling and wearing similar Regency Era attire. Both actresses played her evil stepsisters in the movie, FYI.

Before the episode aired, the show’s IG page shared a preview video for the reunion. The video starts with Barrymore standing next to her former castmates, and in the background, a song featured in the movie’s score starts playing.

“It gets me emotional every time I hear that song,” the talk show host says in the clip.

Fighting back tears, Barrymore shares with the viewers, “You know what it’s not even a show. We're just here in a time machine back 25 years ago because it’s the 25th anniversary of Ever After: A Cinderella Story. I literally can’t even believe that I get to be here with my sisters—my stepsisters—Melanie Lynskey and Megan Dodds.”

As a special surprise, Barrymore treated her followers on Instagram to a fun BTS video, where fans got a look inside the making of the Ever After reunion. “I’d always hoped we could do stuff like this in the show,” the 50 First Dates alum says in the clip. “I got so emotional.”

Is someone cutting onions or...?
