Has Meghan Markle Given Birth? Here's Every Baby Sussex Update Since She Went on Maternity Leave

Any day now, y’all!

We’re waiting with bated breath as every news alert comes in, hoping we get an update (A tweet! An Instagram! Anything!) about Baby Sussexs arrival, which is reportedly going to happen very, very soon (Meghan Markle herself said late April or early May). While we wait for Buckingham Palace to throw us a bone, here is every update we’ve received about when Baby Sussex will arrive since the duchess went on maternity leave.

Prince Charles To Take A Royal Trip To Germany

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles confirmed their next royal outing, so it seems Prince Harry and Markle’s first child will arrive sooner rather than later. The Duke of Cornwall, 70, announced that he and his wife, 71, will embark on a three-day royal tour of Germany on May 7. So, why is it such a big deal? Both Charles and Camilla are expected to be present for the child’s birth, which leads us to believe that Baby Sussex is arriving any day now (aka before their trip).

Prince William Said He Has 'no Idea' When Markle Is Due

During a recent trip to New Zealand, the 36-year-old Duke of Cambridge discussed the child’s highly anticipated arrival. When asked if there are “any signs of the royal baby,” the Duke of Cambridge admitted that he’s not the right person to ask. “I haven’t got my phone on me,” he said, according to People. “I have no idea! You guys will find out before I do at this rate!”

C'mon, William! Get your brother-in-law duties in order.

Prince Harry Attended The London Marathon

Soon-to-be royal dad Harry attended the London Marathon on Sunday, April 28, where he cheered on athletes, congratulated the winners and thanked volunteers for their invaluable support. But we're sure this is a good sign baby Sussex is due relatively soon: His appearance at the event was a surprise, and wasn't announced until the very last minute on the couple’s official Instagram account (probably because he was making sure he wouldn't be in danger of missing any baby movements).

Kate Middleton And Prince Harry Attended Anzac Day Services Together

On Thursday, April 25, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton stepped out to Anzac Day services sans spouses (Markle stayed at home, Prince William was on a trip to New Zealand). So the duchess probably isn’t super close to giving birth or else we think doting dad Henry would be right by her side, camera at the ready. The in-laws rolled up to Westminster Abbey together looking like ol’ chums (see ya, William-Harry feud rumors!) for the solemn occasion, which is a national day of remembrance for Australia and New Zealand honoring the armed forces landing at Gallipoli during World War I.

Kate Middleton And Prince William Visited Meghan Markle And Prince Harry At Their Home

According to multiple sources, including royal reporter Omid Scobie, Middleton and Prince William paid a visit to the nesting Markle and Prince Harry days before she's set to give birth to their first child. The soon-to-be aunt and uncle called on the expecting mom and dad on Easter Sunday, April 21. The Cambridges stopped by Frogmore Cottage, the Sussexes’ new home, after attending Easter Sunday church services with Queen Elizabeth.

Meghan Markle's Mom, Doria Ragland, Arrived In London

Make way, make way, for Grandma Doria! According to Entertainment Tonight, the 37-year-old duchess’s mom, Doria Ragland, reportedly left her home in Los Angeles and traveled across the pond. She arrived in the U.K. on Sunday, April 21. Her arrival is a good sign for royal aficionados, considering she’s supposed to be present for the child’s birth. Any day now...

Buckingham Palace Released A Statement About The Royal Birth

Three weeks ago, the palace released a statement to the media about the forthcoming arrival of Baby Sussex, and it seems Markle and Prince Harry are hoping to keep a low profile during the birth of their first child. The “operational note” states that, “Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.” So, don’t hold your breath for some big Lindo Wing reveal of the newborn like that of Kate and William for the births of their three children.

Meghan Markle Said She's 'nearly There'

In March, the Duchess of Sussex attended a reception at Buckingham Palace in honor of the 50th anniversary of Prince Charles’s investiture (aka bestowment) as the Prince of Wales. While there, Markle spotted a guest she met at a previous event and joked about her growing baby bump. “A bit different than when I saw you last,” she said, according to Harper’s Bazaar.  When Alun Cairns, the secretary of state for Wales, asked if everything is “in good order,” the duchess thanked him before gushing over her upcoming due date, adding, “No, it’s actually very sweet. It’s a nurturing thing to ask. We’re nearly there!”
