Beyoncé really found herself on mute when she received a surprise visit from a certain legendary icon on her 42nd birthday.

The Grammy Award-winning singer celebrated her birthday on the same day as the third and final Los Angeles show of the Renaissance World Tour.

In a fan video shared by @beyhivelive on TikTok, Queen Bey can be seen running down the stage to hug and greet Motown icon Diana Ross, who surprised the “Lemonade” singer with a special “Happy Birthday” performance.

“I’m here tonight to celebrate Beyoncé’s birthday,” Diana says while wearing a black sequin dress. (FYI, Ross wanted to return the favor to the “Energy” singer, who sang “Happy Birthday” to her on her 75th birthday.)

As the crowd continues to cheer, Diana adds, “And I want you to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ with me. Are you ready?” Beyoncé (who’s speechless and overcome with joy) is holding Ross’s hand as she sings a rendition of the birthday song with the audience.

“Thank you so much, you are so amazing,” Beyoncé tells Diana after giving her another hug. “This is the legendary Diana Ross! There would be no me without you and thank you so much for all of your sacrifice and your beauty and your grace. Thank you for opening doors for me. Thank you so much.”

Tracee Ellis Ross and her brother, Evan Ross, accompanied their mom to the Renaissance show in Los Angeles. On her Instagram page, the Black-ish star shared several photos and videos taken during the night.

The 50-year-old actress captioned the post, “What a MOMENT! Thank you to everyone who made this happen. I have deep gratitude for you all and to those few special players (you know who you are) just wow and thank you! I played camera lady and supportive giggling daughter. @realevanross and mom I love you so much !!!”

What a night to remember.
