Dennis Quaid just shared details about his latest movie, Blue Miracle, and revealed why it’s a must-watch during these times of uncertainty.
The 67-year-old actor recently sat down for an exclusive interview with PureWow, where he discussed the brand-new film. If you need a refresher, Blue Miracle is based on a true story and follows a group of orphans as they team up with a local fisherman, Wade (Quaid), for a competition.
While discussing the Netflix original movie, Quaid revealed that he hopes the feel-good story serves as an inspiration. “It’s very uplifting, and I think that’s what we need these days,” he told PureWow. “I want viewers to be entertained. More than anything else, it’s a great, great story. And the message—the message is going to shine through with the story.”
Quaid’s co-star Jimmy Gonzales also chimed in and revealed that while he was nervous about bringing the story to life, he soon realized the similarities between himself and his character, Omar (the guardian of the orphanage).
