Now that Orange Is the New Black is coming to an end, Danielle Brooks (Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson) is taking on an all-new venture: motherhood.
Today, the 29-year-old actress revealed that she’s “happily pregnant” with her first child. Brooks announced the news on Instagram and shared a selfie featuring her positive pregnancy test.
She captioned the post, “So elated to finally share this news with you all. I’m happily pregnant!”
Brooks also celebrated the exciting news on her Instagram Story, where she shared a first-look photo of her growing baby bump.
She wrote, “When one chapter ends, another begins. Super excited to share with you my new beginning. I’M PREGNANT. Counting my blessings.”
Although Brooks didn’t reveal any further details, she did confirm that she’s “5 months in!”
