Calling all Dan Brown fans: The Da Vinci Code is getting the small-screen treatment by way of a prequel-esque TV series that was just picked up by NBC, according to Deadline.
The series, called Langdon, will be based on Brown's 2009 best-selling thriller The Lost Symbol that takes place directly following the events of The Da Vinci Code.
However, according to Deadline, the show will actually portray a younger Robert Langdon, a Harvard professor of symbology, reordering the timeline of the original books.
Fans will associate the role with Tom Hanks, who portrayed Langdon on the big screen in three films directed by Ron Howard (The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons and Inferno).
