This ‘Virgin River’ Star & His Wife Made an Appearance in ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Together

We're learning more and more about our favorite Virgin River actors every day.

Recently, we discovered that Martin Henderson (who plays Jack Sheridan) had a small part in Britney Spears's iconic "Toxic" music video. Now, we've discovered that a different star from the Netflix series had quite the interesting cameo himself.

Colin Lawrence—who you might know as Jack's good friend, John "Preacher" Middleton, on the show—happened to make an appearance in the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel Fifty Shades Darker back in 2017. Better yet, his wife, actress Lucia Walters, got to perform right alongside him.

During a scene where Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele have a little..."fun" in an elevator, Lawrence and Walters can be seen in the front of the shot, portraying fellow customers who have just left the restaurant. The pair can also be seen in the background behind Steele while she and Grey are eating dinner. Check out the scene in the video below.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Walters discussed what it was like to film the scene with her husband. “I’ve read the books, I knew exactly what we were going in for,” she said. But apparently the Virgin River star was not as informed as his wife. Walter revealed, “My husband didn’t have a clue. He’s like, ‘Two days with you with no kids? Yes.’”

Lawrence and his wife have been together for over 20 years and they met back when they were in acting school together. However, no matter how long a couple's been together, we could understand how filming this scene might have been a little uncomfortable. Still, Walters told Cosmopolitan the environment was “very calm and professional.”

So how did Lawrence feel about the scene? Walters joked, “My hubby will not go see it.” But for her, it was “the highlight.”

We're gonna have to go rewatch this movie, ASAP.
