Chip and Joanna Gaines make plenty of dreams come true on Fixer Upper, but yesterday’s episode of the hit HGTV show marked a whole new first for the couple: facilitating a marriage proposal.
In addition to crafting U.S. Marine T.J. Brooks and his girlfriend, Stephanie’s, dream home, Chip and Jo offered the perfect opportunity for the veteran to pop the question.
Right after the home reveal, Brooks proposed to his girlfriend while Chip and Jo looked on. Talk about a magical moment.
The couple met when Brooks returned from Afghanistan after losing his leg in an explosion. Stephanie runs a nonprofit organization that works with Wounded Warriors and came to visit him in the hospital during his recovery. The two hit it off and decided to plant their roots together in Waco, Texas, with Brook’s service dog, Macho.
