Charlize Theron tends to keep her personal life out of the spotlight, but that doesn’t mean she can’t show occasional glimpses on social media.
This week, The School for Good and Evil star, 46, shared a slideshow on Instagram, featuring a rare photo of her 7-year-old daughter, August.
In the first pic, Theron is joined by August, who’s snuggling up to her mom’s side and wearing an eye mask massager. The actress is wearing what appears to be a floral nightgown, complete with a Care Bears blanket covering her legs. The second photo shows a bed full of four-legged friends, including one of the dogs who made an appearance in the first pic.
The pups are sitting in front of a cozy fireplace, which separates the room in two. While one side features a classic cream paint color, the other is a moody dark green that complements the eclectic gallery wall.
The caption read, “New year, same energy. C’mon 2022, don’t be a bitch!”
Fans responded with well-wishes in the comments section, along with messages about smaller details. One person wrote, “Nice eye shades, auggie!” Another added, “Need that Care Bears blanket.”
Theron adopted August back in 2015, three years after she welcomed her first child, Jackson, into her family. During a previous interview with NPR, she explained that it was “just meant to be.”
Now, if only we could get our hands on one of those eye mask massagers.
