Princess Diana’s Brother Shares Heartfelt Tribute in Honor of What Would Have Been Her 59th Birthday

Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, is celebrating what would have been the late royal’s 59th birthday.

Yesterday, Spencer posted a special photo on Instagram that was taken outside Althorp House, which is where Diana was laid to rest. (The Oval Lake, to be exact.) The pic features a cloudy skyline with a peekaboo of sunlight, and damn, that’s a beautiful sight.

Spencer captioned the post, “Clouds above @althorphouse this evening.”

Althorp House holds a special place in his heart. Not only is it Princess Diana’s final resting place, but it has also been passed down through generations of the Spencer family since 1508.

That same day, Spencer shared another photo on his Instagram Story, featuring a heartfelt gift that was sent to the estate. The pic shows a bouquet of flowers wrapped in brown paper, along with a tearjerker card.

It reads, “Happy Birthday, Diana Princess of Wales. I will always remember you. From the lady who lives near Heathrow, from Vanessa.”

Princess Diana married Prince Charles in 1981. The couple had two children—Prince William and Prince Harry—before separating in the ’90s. In 1997, Princess Diana was tragically killed in a car crash.

Sending hugs to the entire Spencer family.
