Chad Michael Murray’s New Hallmark Movie Doubles as a ‘One Tree Hill’ Reunion

Sure, we already know that Hallmark is releasing a record-breaking number of original movies this holiday season, but we had no idea that it would also include a One Tree Hill reunion.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Chad Michael Murray is set to star in an all-new Hallmark movie alongside Torrey DeVitto, titled Five Cards for Christmas. Murray and DeVitto played Lucas Scott and nanny Carrie, respectively, on the popular CW series, so we’ll consider it an unofficial spin-off.

Five Cards for Christmas follows a young woman named Jessica (DeVitto), who sends out five holiday cards to people who greatly impacted her life. The list includes friends, family and—of course—her former music teacher, who just so happens to be out of town.

When the teacher’s son (Murray) opens the card, he sparks a relationship with Jessica that reignites her passion for music. Is it just us, or does it sound like a grown-up version of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before?

To top it off, Five Cards for Christmas will feature another One Tree Hill cameo. The film also stars Drew Seeley, who portrayed Vegas on The CW show.

Production on the Hallmark flick has yet to begin, though it’s expected to premiere later this year. The network is gearing up for the tenth anniversary of Countdown to Christmas, which kicks off on October 25.

Either way, you had us at One Tree Hill love triangle.
