Céline Dion received the warmest welcome when she walked onstage at the 2024 Grammys

The 55-year-old singer unexpectedly appeared at the ceremony last night to present the Album of the Year award. While one of her hit singles “The Power of Love” played in the background, she was greeted with a standing ovation by everyone in the audience. Even Taylor Swift (who went on to win the award) could be seen standing in the crowd and lip-syncing to the power ballad.

Before she presented the nominees, Dion took a moment to thank everyone for their love and support. “Thank you, all! I love you right back,” she said with tears in her eyes. “You look beautiful. When I say I’m happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart. Those who have been blessed enough to be here at the Grammy Awards must never take for granted the tremendous love and joy that music brings to our lives and to people all around the world.”

Dion and Swift went on to pose together backstage after the award presentation, sharing a smile and an embrace.

Since being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome in 2022, the Grammy-award-winning singer has taken a step back from the spotlight.

This surprise appearance at the Grammys comes just days after Dion announced her upcoming documentary titled I Am: Céline Dion. In the new film, she will open up about her ongoing battle with the rare neurological disorder.

Last week on Instagram, Dion shared the news with her fans. Along with a black-and-white photo of herself, she wrote in the caption, “Get ready! [film camera emoji] I Am: Celine Dion, a documentary directed by Oscar-nominated Irene Taylor, will be released globally on @primevideo.”

The mother of three also dedicated a touching message to her supporters, writing, “This last couple of years has been such a challenge for me, the journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me.”

We love you, Céline.
