In case you've been living under an Instagram-less rock, we're in the middle of a Céline Dionaissance. What do we mean by that? While the Canadian singer never went away, she's more in the spotlight than ever. (And honestly, we're all better for it.)
She's a living, breathing style icon. She just debuted a new collection from her kids' clothing line. She's working on a new album and a world tour.
And yet, somehow she made time to appear on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke (watch the video here). Unsurprisingly, Dion didn't disappoint. On the contrary, she pulled out all the stops.
Filmed in Las Vegas (where her second residence at Caesar's Palace will come to an end next month), Dion is decked out in a metallic checked suit with a baby blue pussybow blouse underneath. Her makeup and accessories match, with icy blue eye shadow and a giant blue cocktail ring. Throughout the 14-minute video, the two sing rousing renditions of Dion's greatest hits, from "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" and "Because You Loved Me" to "I Drove All Night."
When Corden observed that there's no song on earth Dion couldn't make dramatic, she proved his point by belting out the most fabulous version of "Baby Shark" we've ever heard. She has a gift, people.
After singing a few more tunes in the car, the duo headed to the Bellagio hotel, where they unbuckled their seatbelts, threw on some overcoats and a wig (for Corden), and recreated the "My Heart Will Go On" scene from Titanic. She even dramatically dropped her necklace into the ocean fountain.
Now, Corden has done a lot of these Carpool Karaokes already. And as much as we don't want to pick favorites, Céline's has got to be one of the all-time greats. We'd expect nothing less.
