When it comes to celebrity parents and their lookalike children, Catherine Zeta-Jones and her 21-year-old daughter, Carys Zeta Douglas, are truly the spitting image of one another.

On April 20, Carys Douglas celebrated her 21st birthday with her closest friends and family. And for her bday outfit, she ventured into her mother’s closet and pulled out one of her most iconic dresses: a pink satin gown the Wednesday star wore to the 1999 MTV Movie Awards.

When Zeta-Jones wore the dress back in 1999, the Welsh actress accessorized the eye-popping look with small hoop earrings, a silver link bracelet and a matching pair of silver heels. And for the finishing touch, The Mask of Zorro alum also carried a chic Fendi Baguette bag.

On Instagram, Carys Douglas posted a series of photos taken at her birthday celebration. The first slide features a blurry snap of the 21-year-old rocking her vintage pastel pink dress as she blows out the candles on her birthday cake.

Meanwhile, the third pic shows the birthday girl posing in the stunning ensemble. The top of the dress (which was designed by Emanuel Ungaro) features a white lace design that showcases pink floral detailing. While Carys Douglas posed happily in her dress, she undoubtedly looked like her mom, especially with that smile.

Carys Douglas wrote in the caption, “The most perfect 21st I could ask for!”

In the comments section, her followers couldn’t stop gushing about the dress. One person wrote, “You’re wearing your mom's dress? [heart eyes emoji],” while another follower commented, “Slayed. Happy bday, queen.”

On her personal Instagram page, Zeta-Jones, 54, dedicated a special birthday tribute to her daughter. In a celebratory slideshow, which included photos of Zeta-Jones and Carys Douglas as a little girl, the proud mom wrote in the caption, “Happy Birthday to my beautiful daughter @carys.douglas.”

Zeta-Jones continued, “You are the joy of my life. 21 years of watching you blossom into the most incredible woman you are today is a God-given gift that I never take for granted and cherish every day of my life. Thank you for being you. I love you with all my heart, Mama.”
