Did you know the royal family has their own version of Rent the Runway?

During a special special state visit to Germany, Camilla Parker Bowles stopped by the Bellevue Palace with King Charles III. The queen consort sported a number of gorgeous accessories, including a necklace that once belonged to her mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II.

For the event, Bowles chose a long black dress adorned with silver embroidery. (The gown was designed by Bruce Oldfield, per Tatler.) To match this sparkly gown, the queen consort donned the Greville Tiara (which was bequeathed to The Queen Mother by Dame Margaret Greville in 1942) along with a fringe necklace that was previously owned by Queen Elizabeth, according to People. The City of London necklace was made in the 19th century and it was gifted to Queen Elizabeth on her wedding day in 1947.

To round out the 'fit, Queen Consort Camilla carried a black clutch and added a few brooches to her dress. One of the brooches paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth because it featured a portrait of the late monarch as a young woman.

As noted by The Mirror, Bowles wore this brooch back in November 2022 for a state banquet held at Buckingham Palace. The publication noted that the brooch features “an icon of Queen Elizabeth II in evening dress wearing the ribbon and star of the Order of the Garter,” and it also includes “a red enamel Tudor Crown at the top.”

This was one of the first stops on the king and queen consort's three-day trip to Germany. After meeting with President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Frau Elke Budenbender last night, the two are set to visit the Bundestag and the German Federal Parliament.

While this trip was supposed to include a visit to France, recent protests caused the couple to move that visit to a later date. As of right now, this is the only planned state visit for the pair ahead of the coronation ceremony on May 6.
