Camila Mendes Reveals What It’s Really Like Working with Mark Consuelos’s Son, Michael, on ‘Riverdale’

Camila Mendes has nothing but good things to say about Mark Consuelos’s 23-year-old son, Michael, who’s now part of the Riverdale cast.

The 26-year-old actress (Veronica Lodge) recently sat down for an exclusive interview with PureWow, where she opened up about working with Michael (who plays the younger version of his dad’s character, Hiram Lodge).  

“It was so awesome,” she told PureWow. “He killed it.”

Mendes explained that the entire Riverdale cast welcomed Michael with open arms, adding, “It’s so exciting watching somebody new come on to our show, and he was just so excited to learn and grow as an actor. And we were all just there for him and kind of being supportive, so he could feel good and welcomed.”

The actress also discussed her off-screen relationship with Mark, who plays her dad on Riverdale. Mendes revealed that she looks up to his marriage with Kelly Ripa, and we can see why.

“I love Mark so much. He’s such an inspiring human,” she said. “I love his relationship with Kelly Ripa. They’re just relationship goals. Anytime I need advice on love, I go to Mark. He always has the best, wisest thing to say.”

Mendes is currently promoting her partnership with Secret Deodorant. The actress opened up about why it’s a must-have for summer, saying, “Let’s be honest: It’s getting warm outside. The sweat is going to start coming through, and we need to be prepared.” 

It’s safe to say Mendes is a big fan of the Consuelos-Ripa family.
