While we trudge on through this beast of a year that is 2020, Build-a-Bear is here to remind us of happier times and happier things...like Baby Yoda.
Yup, the toy company is now selling our fave baby alien in plush form. Build-a-Bear CEO Sharon Price John broke the news at the ICR Conference in Orlando, Florida, back in January and the wait is finally over.
“I’m excited to share we will be one of the first companies to provide a digital and internet phenomenon who is trending higher than all presidential candidates combined," she said during the presentation. “We now will have The Child, also known as Baby Yoda.”
Since the first introduction to Baby Yoda, there has been a high demand for toy versions of the popular character. According to Business Insider, Funko introduced a Baby Yoda figurine last December and it became the top-selling action figure. So, you may want to jump on this “Build-a-Yoda” soon.
Yoda Bear can be purchased online, stuffed and ready to go, or created in-store (but you must follow distancing guidelines in the process). There’s also the option to add other clothing and accessories if customization is your thing. (Seriously, just imagine Baby Yoda in overalls.)
The doll is currently $44 and there’s a limit of four per person (you know, in case you were going to buy FIVE of them). Happy Yoda-building.
