‘Auntie’ Britney Spears Reunites with Lance Bass & Meets His Twins in Nostalgic Photos

Attention, Britney Army: Britney Spears is breaking the ice on social media for a super-special reason.

Yesterday, the 41-year-old musician posted not one, but two brand-new photos on Twitter (which is currently rebranding to X—don’t ask). The pics documented the moment Spears reunited with *NSYNC alum Lance Bass and met his 1-year-old twins, Violet and Alexander.

The pics doubled as a ’90s reunion between Spears and Bass, who both rose to fame because of their music careers. The first pic showed the duo posing with Bass’s husband, Michael Turchin, along with Violet and Alexander. The second photo featured a close-up of Spears and Bass holding the twins, and we’ve never felt so old nostalgic.

Spears captioned the post, “I’m a new auntie for Lance’s babies !!! They are absolutely gorgeous babies !!!”

In June 2021, Bass announced that he and Turchin were expecting twins via surrogate. Later that year, the couple welcomed Violet and Alexander into their family. In an exclusive interview with PureWow, Bass shared details about his parenthood journey.

“We’ve actually been prepping for years to become parents, but more recently, I’ve been reading a lot of parenting books and trying to talk to as many parents as I can for their advice,” Bass said. “My husband is actually a twin himself, so talking to his mother and getting her advice has been really helpful.”

The nostalgic reunion comes on the heels of Spears’s memoir announcement. According to People, the singer will release the highly anticipated book, The Woman in Me, on October 24. It will cover everything from her childhood to her rise to fame—and maybe even her friendship with Bass.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to us.
