The world's hardest-working royal, Princess Anne, was all smiles during her most recent visit to Scotland—and body language expert Darren Stanton has a lot to say about it.

The 74-year-old royal joined King Charles and Queen Camilla as they carried out their royal engagements in Scotland this past weekend, and according to Stanton, Princess Anne carried herself with unshakable confidence. On behalf Betfair Bingo, he told PureWow, “Princess Anne showed a lot of authority as she made an appearance. She didn’t necessarily take the lead over Charles but made it clear her role was to show assertiveness.”

Stanton continued, “Anne remained determined by carrying herself with a consistent composure at all times, but she was still able to feel relaxed and enjoy herself. She displayed genuine smiles and signs of pure enjoyment.”

While the Princess Royal wasn't photographed with the king and queen during their recent trip, I've observed enough of her public appearances to know that she typically maintains a confident and reserved demeanor. For instance, when she showed up at the 2024 Paris Olympics, she looked calm and assertive as she watched the Men’s Rugby Sevens match.
