Now that 2023 is here, it’s time to revisit one of our favorite moments from 2022. (And yes, it involves Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively.)
It all started back in November when Reynolds shared a video of himself rehearsing a dance number from his Apple TV+ film, Spirited. And much to our delight, Lively wrote such a priceless response that it has now become the thirstiest comment of 2022.
The video featured Reynolds and his co-star, Will Ferrell, performing choreography next to two backup dancers. Fans filled the comments section with supportive messages—but it was Lively’s note that caught our attention.
She wrote, “Can you get pregnant while pregnant??” (FYI, Lively is expecting the couple’s fourth child.)
In the caption, Reynolds poked fun at his dance talents (or lack thereof). It read, “You’ve got to be willing to be bad at something if you want to be… slightly less bad at it? Here’s Will and I proving that point! We’re so humbled by all the love for #Spirited on @appletvplus.”
Spirited premiered on Apple TV+ back in November 2022 and told the story of Ebenezer Scrooge (Ferrell), a curmudgeon who’s haunted by his past. The official synopsis reads, “Imagine Charles Dickens’s heartwarming tale of a scrooge visited by four ghosts on Christmas Eve—but funnier.”
This will never get old.
