When it comes to holiday photos, Beyoncé isn’t afraid to go above and beyond. Not only did the 38-year-old singer hold a full-blown photoshoot for the occasion, but she also wore a wedding gown. (NBD.)
Earlier this week, Beyoncé posted a year-in-review video on her personal Instagram account, which concluded with a never-before-seen photo of the Carter family: Beyoncé, Jay-Z and their three kids, Blue Ivy and twins, Sir and Rumi.
In the pic, the “Single Ladies” singer is wearing a stunning organza ball gown by bridal designers Ryan Patros and Walter Mendez. The dress has a flared skirt and ornate bodice, featuring mesh details and a whole lot of crystals.
The Los Angeles-based duo re-shared a photo the Carter family’s holiday photo on Instagram (see above). The slideshow also includes close-up footage of the dress, so you can see the sparkle and tulle in full detail. The look was styled by Beyoncé’s longtime stylist, Zerina Akers.
Of course, it’s important to point out that Ryan and Walter repurposed the gown for the holiday photo, meaning it wasn’t actually meant to walk down the aisle. Still, we can barely fathom affording one custom wedding dress—let alone buying one for a holiday photoshoot.
Then again, we’re no Beyoncé.
