She captioned the post, “Happy birthday Oprah.”
The birthday tribute should come as no surprise to dedicated fans, considering Beyoncé and Winfrey are longtime friends. Not only did the “Lemonade” singer get interviewed multiple times on the The Oprah Winfrey Show, but she also performed “Run the World (Girls)” during the show’s star-studded finale.
Beyoncé is one of many celebs who wished Winfrey a happy birthday, including Lupita Nyong’o, Fergie, Shonda Rhimes, Julia Roberts, Alicia Keys, DJ Khaled, Dr. Phil, Ava DuVernay, Busy Philipps, Felicity Huffman and—of course—her best friend, Gayle King.
Still, no one said it better than Oprah’s A Wrinkle in Time co-star Reese Witherspoon, who shared an old photo on Twitter and wrote, “Thank you for inspiring me to do more for others, for teaching me that I have courage to be bold, and for making me the best margarita I have had in years. Shine on, my brilliant friend!” (Wait, though—how can we get our hands on one of those famous margaritas?)
