Beyoncé’s Daughters Are Budding Fashionistas, According to Grandma Tina Knowles-Lawson

Beyoncé’s daughters, Blue (10) and Rumi (5), are taking after their stylish mom.

The singer’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, recently sat down for an interview with Oprah Daily and shared rare details about her granddaughters. She recalled a priceless moment between the siblings during a trip to Disneyland, when Blue criticized Rumi’s personal style.

“It’s funny because Rumi loves fashion. She picks out her own clothes,” Knowles-Lawson said. “We recently went to Disneyland, and she put on her Mickey Mouse shorts. Then she wanted to put on a sparkly printed top, which had the same colors. It actually looked really cute.”

However, Blue wasn’t pleased with her sister’s standout ensemble. Knowles-Lawson added, “Blue was like, ‘My mom would be mad because she’s doing too much.’” Luckily, Rumi had the perfect response. “‘This is my style,’” she recalled. “She’s 5. I was impressed.”

Knowles-Lawson continued, “[Rumi] reminds me so much of Solange when she was little. She wore outrageous stuff, but she has an amazing sense of style. So, you let them do their own thing.”

The proud grandma also revealed that Blue and Rumi help Beyoncé with Ivy Park designs. “Well, they are little fashionistas, and they have definite determination about what they like and what they don’t like,” she said. “When Beyoncé’s doing the first samples, they get them, and some things they love, and some things you can tell are not their favorite.”

The real question is: Does Rumi’s twin brother, Sir, share the same attention to personal style?
