Just because it’s a chart-topper doesn’t mean it’s adaptable for the small screen.
The music industry’s hottest stars gathered tonight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the 61st annual Grammy Awards, and “This Is America” by Childish Gambino took home the highly coveted award for Best Music Video.
Other nominees include “Apes***” by The Carters, “I’m Not Racist” by Joyner Lucas, “Pynk” by Janelle Monáe and “Mumbo Jumbo” by Tierra Whack.
The Grammys first introduced the category in 1984, which was originally called Best Video, Short Form. Previous winners include “Humble” by Kendrick Lamar, “Formation” by Beyoncé, “Bad Blood” by Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar, “Happy” by Pharrell Williams, “Suit & Tie” by Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z, “We Found Love” by Rihanna and Calvin Harris, “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele, “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga and “Boom Boom Pow” by The Black Eyed Peas.
