Talk about iconic

From the Suits cast returning to the courtroom in an e.l.f. Cosmetics commercial to Parks and Rec alums Aubrey Plaza and Nick Offerman recreating a House of the Dragon scene in a Mountain Dew ad, the 2024 Super Bowl was jam-packed with memorable commercials that we can’t stop thinking about. But the most iconic of them all? It would have to be Queen Bey’s surprise cameo in Verizon’s Super Bowl ad.

And we’re not the only ones who seem to think so. According to a Google Trends report from CasinoAlpha, online searches for the term ‘Verizon’ increased 4,900% globally and 733% in the United States following the premiere of Beyoncé’s Super Bowl commercial.

The ad features the Grammy-award-winning artist attempting to break the internet. She does it all: creates her custom Barbie doll called “Bar-Bey,” debuts her very own “Beyoncé-AI” robot and flies in a rocket to become the first performing artist in space. Before the commercial ends, Beyoncé (dressed in an astronaut's suit) declares, “They're ready. Drop the new music.”

Shortly after, the 42-year-old singer released a teaser for Act II of her seventh studio album, Renaissance. Along with the album news, she dropped two singles titled “Texas Hold Em” and “16 Carriages,” which have more of a country sound in contrast to the dance hall songs on Renaissance.

Tudor Turiceanu, who is the Chief Editor for CasinoAlpha, had this to say about the search findings: “Super Bowl commercials have a significant place in American football culture, being as iconic and memorable as the game and halftime performances. Therefore, the inclusion of the legendary Pop icon Beyoncé in an advertisement is truly thrilling for the American and global Super Bowl audiences.”

He added, “The surge in searches for Verizon following her appearance is undeniable proof of Beyoncé's immense impact which has long transcended the music industry alone.”

Now if you’ll excuse us, we’ll be listening to “Texas Hold Em” and “16 Carriages” on repeat.
