Avril Lavigne’s Hello Kitty-Inspired House Features a Stripper Pole, a Collection of Tiaras & More

As Y2K beauty and fashion trends keep popping back up, what better time for Avril Lavigne to make her musical comeback?

The “Complicated” singer just released a new album, Love Sux, and to promote her seventh studio release, Lavigne participated in an interview with Vogue, where she talked about everything from her fashion evolution to her favorite order at Tim Hortons.

However, one of the most striking parts of the conversation was when Lavigne discussed her home and the many unique ways in which she has designed it. While we (sadly) didn't get any photos of the abode, the 37-year-old singer went into full detail.

It turns out that one of the biggest inspirations behind Lavigne's interior decor is the brand Hello Kitty. “I have a Hello Kitty bedroom in my house,” Lavigne revealed. “I have this huge pink couch that has all these Hello Kitty stuffed animals on it, from tours and from fans as gifts. The house was built around the bedroom. It’s big and has a stripper pole. It’s a guest bedroom and everyone wants to stay in there.”

But that wasn't all that she divulged. The pop punk singer also confessed that she's a collector of some very unique items. “I collect tiaras and crowns, from all of my photoshoots and videos. I probably have 30,” she said. Lavigne is apparently a big fan of the British footwear brand Dr. Martens, too, and she added, “I also have a whole wall of Doc Martens, in every single color.”

Lavigne purchased her Malibu property back in 2020, and according to Hello! magazine, the $7.8 million property includes a spa, swimming pool and even a mini skate park in the backyard.

We're gonna need a video tour of this place, ASAP.
