And I almost missed it

One of entertainment's biggest nights, the Golden Globes, took place this past Sunday. And in honor of the annual event, Ariana Grande took a moment to reflect on her role in Wicked—which scored four nominations and a win for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.

Before the ceremony, Grande took to Instagram and shared a snap of the Wicked script, along with a personal note. On her IG Story, she wrote, "All I can think about this afternoon and all morning is how deeply grateful I am to have been able to do this work and to have spent these years with Galinda. I'm floating with gratitude today and cannot wait to celebrate all of the beautiful art that was made this year with my Ozian family and with all of our new friends."

As for the image, it shows a few lines from the Ozdust Ballroom scene—the most pivotal moment in the musical fantasy—and it includes a surprise message with a hidden meaning.

You'll notice that, on the page, there's a doodle of a small heart with the words, "I'm here. You're not alone," written inside. In case you've yet to see the film, this powerful scene marks a major turning point in the film, where Glinda (Grande) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) finally set their differences aside. Thanks to Grande and Erivo's phenomenal performances, it's an incredibly moving scene that speaks to the power of true friendship.

Fans and critics have called this famous scene the "heart of the movie," so it's no surprise that Grande penned that sweet sentiment. Still, I suspect the message holds an even deeper meaning. In addition to her character's feelings toward Elphaba, I believe this doubles as a meaningful message to her co-star and friend, Erivo.

From their joint appearances at red carpet events to their genuine smiles during interviews, there's no doubt that these two are like BFFs. While on The Tamron Hall Show, Erivo discussed the authenticity of their friendship and how important it was to change the common narrative of women getting "pit against each other."

She explained, "When we knew we were cast in this, the both of us sort of made a decision and a pact to take care of one another, to make the space we needed for each other, to be honest with each other, to talk about the things that are hard, to talk about the things that are going on in our lives, to be there, protect each other, so that when we got on set, it was easy."

Erivo added, "I don't think I've done that with anyone before, on any project, and that's not to say that I haven't had wonderful times on projects. But this one was intentional. We made an intentional promise to one another that we would take care of each other. I think, what I've really enjoyed is watching people realize that what Ariana and I have is real, because I think the tendency when it comes to two women in front of people is to believe that we're pit against each other, and we don't want to work together."

Love to see two queens supporting one another, both on- and off-screen.
