One of the hottest couples on TV in 2019, without a doubt, was Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Fleabag and Andrew Scott's Hot Priest (as the internet dubbed him). So, of course fans of the show were devastated to learn there would be no season three of the show, meaning no potential reunion for our star-crossed lovers. But that doesn't mean there won't be seeing more of Scott and Waller-Bridge together.
While walking the red carpet at the 2020 Golden Globes, Scott stopped to talk to Giuliana Rancic and E! News and provided us all with a little bit of hope. "We got great chemistry," Scott said when asked about what might come next for the new British dream team (to which everyone watching immediately thought to themselves, well duh). He couldn't reveal too many details, but Scott promised viewers that he and Waller-Bridge definitely have something in the works. Please excuse us while we freak out in the corner.
We know that Waller-Bridge has been working on the latest James Bond film, No Time to Die and Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, while Scott starred in the film 1917 and HBO's His Dark Materials series. We also know that Waller-Bridge has claimed that Fleabag is officially over and there won't be any additional episodes. So could their upcoming project be? Is Daniel Craig passing the James Bond torch to Scott with Waller-Bridge as the lease screenwriter? Will they be entering in a joint fantasy/sci-fi venture? Will we be gifted with more Hot Priest in our lives?
