Amy Schumer is many things, including a mother, a wife, a comedian and a talented actress. But did you know that she’s also a singer (well, sorta)?
The Life & Beth star, 43, recently posted a throwback clip on her personal Instagram account, featuring a home video of herself singing. The footage was filmed when she was just 5 years old in the '80s—and it truly shows. (Just look at that hair!)
In the video, Schumer is singing “Happy Hanukkah” and shaking a bell to her own beat. “It’s just happy Hanukkah. Happy Hanukkah, happy Hanukkah!” she says. “Happy Hanukkah to you and you.”
Schumer’s hair falls just above her shoulders, and it’s styled in a way that screams, “Just woke up from a nap.” In true ’80s fashion, she’s also rocking a full set of bangs that are so voluminous, the hair is barely touching her forehead.
The caption read, “Happy Hanukkah love to you all from me when I was 5.”
Followers and fans filled the comments section with positive messages. One person wrote, “You should bring this look back.” Another added, “Omgoodness cutie pie !”
However, the majority of the comments focused on Schumer’s childhood face—and how it hasn’t changed one bit. Someone added, “OMG! SAME EXACT FACE!!!!.” Another commented, “Why do you look exactly the same. Exactly.”
