Amy Schumer Accidentally Revealed That Michael Cera Is a Father During an Interview

Amy Schumer just dropped some major news about her costar Michael Cera during a recent interview. While promoting their new Hulu comedy series, Life & Beth, Schumer let it slip that her on-screen love interest is a father.

It all happened while she was chatting with Entertainment Tonight about the lessons she tries to teach her 2-year-old son, Gene. The conversation ultimately pivoted to the Juno actor, at which point Schumer said, “Michael has a baby, too. Is that public knowledge?...I just outed him, I just outed his baby.”

Of course, ET turned to Cera to confirm the news, and although he kept the details very hush-hush, he did say that he and his wife, Nadine, are working through their new life as parents. “We're right at the beginning of it,” he said. “We're doing the very basics right now.”

As People pointed out, Schumer actually dropped this major piece of news earlier this week too, during a visit to Chelsea Handler's podcast, Dear Chelsea. While talking about her and Cera's show, Schumer said, “Michael Cera plays my romantic love interest...He's married, I'm married, we both have kids.”

Cera has always kept his personal life under wraps, but back in the spring of 2018, it was first revealed that he and his wife, Nadine, had tied that knot when Us Weekly spotted the actor with a wedding ring.

Now, Cera will star alongside Schumer in Life & Beth. On the series, Schumer plays Beth, a nearly-40-year-old wine distributor who begins having flashbacks to her teenage years and questioning what she wants to do with her life. Meanwhile, Cera plays John, a former farmer and Beth's adult love interest. All 10 episodes of the series will premiere on Hulu on March 18.

Michael, please let Amy share the baby's name with us next!
