Queen of comedy (and royal copycat) Amy Schumer is serving up her new stand-up special on Netflix, and we just got the first trailer.
Amy Schumer Growing, out March 19, will catch up with the Trainwreck star as a newlywed who’s expecting her first child with husband Chris Fischer. “If you’re someone who enjoyed being pregnant, I just hope your car flips over. That’s what I wish for you,” Schumer jokes in the clip. Yep, that’s what’s in store.
In a short video announcement posted to Instagram on Valentine’s Day, Schumer introduced the show and revealed that the special was filmed a few months back in front of a full house in Chicago. The 37-year-old expecting mama also debuted a billboard to promote the show, that’s basically a riff off Ally’s ads from A Star Is Born.
Fischer and Schumer announced they were expecting their first child in October, and she has since had to cancel stand-up shows during her tour due to pregnancy-related sickness, specifically hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition that includes severe nausea and dehydration during pregnancy that Kate Middleton also suffered from in September 2017 while carrying Prince Louis.
This will be Schumer’s second-ever Netflix show, after The Leather Special aired in 2017.
Although this time it’ll probably be less leather and more ultra-stretch maternity leggings, TBH.
